Meet Shipshave
In 2019 we set the goal of becoming the world leading provider of hull maintenance technology for the shipping industry. In only five years, we are almost there.
Shipshave is a green technology company based in Stavanger, Norway with additional offices in Athens and Singapore.
Over the last years the company has assembled a fantastic team - dedicated to creating, improving, and scaling disruptive technology with the purpose of changing a titan of industries: Shipping. -Making it cleaner, greener and more energy efficient.
After 4 years of use by the customer in the field we have the backing to say that the technology works and can save substantial cost for shipowners.
With financial backing we are ready to take a BIG next step towards our rightful position as the global leader in our field. Over the course of the next months, we will be scaling our team, technology, and commercial presence exponentially.
We are now looking for a Senior Engineer in the fields of Hydrodynamics/Mechanical.
Some of the key responsibilities:
- Innovative Product Development: Drive the creation of new products, features, and accessories that set us apart
- Continuous Improvement: Lead product maintenance and enhancement initiatives to ensure top-notch performance
- Technical Excellence: Oversee hydrodynamical performance, mechanical design, and hardware system integration
- Collaborative Testing: Plan and execute comprehensive testing of components and systems, working closely with our team, partners, and customers. Develop testing procedures and analyze results to inform product development and quality improvements
- Design Optimization: Conduct design reviews and optimize designs for maximum efficiency and effectiveness
- Seamless Launches: Coordinate with suppliers and team members to plan and execute successful product launches
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: BSc/MSc in Mechatronics or Mechanics, with a solid understanding of electrotechnical and hydrodynamics. Extensive and relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in designing machines that operate in water or submerged environments
- Collaborative Spirit: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with suppliers and partners
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, modeling, CFD, and data analysis
