Since 2016 the company has been steadily progressing from strictly R&D-focused into the commercial phase. Entering 2024, the road map to profitability is set. By focusing on three different revenue streams, the company expect to have taken several market positions on a global scale, by the end of the year.

The role of Process Engineer:
The overall goal of this role is to play a crucial role in the company's success with its strategy of introducing and scaling viable, sustainable, and smart solutions fit for each of the identified markets with high potential. Your contribution will be of utmost importance for moving the company forward as well as being a part of the actual solution working for a better and greener future.
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and optimization of CO2 capture technologies. Candidates with a strong background in process simulation, modelling, mass and energy balance, gas handling, and system optimization from various industries, including but not limited to oil and gas, chemical, and environmental engineering, are encouraged to apply. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact on sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize CO2 capture processes, including adsorption, desorption, and regeneration stages, focusing on achieving high efficiency and low energy consumption.
- Utilize process simulation software such as Aspen Hysys, Aspen Plus, COMSOL, or equivalent tools to develop and refine process models for adsorption systems, supporting R&D and commercial scale-up.
- Conduct detailed modeling, mass balance, and energy balance calculations to optimize processes, and de-humidification, including adsorption and desorption systems, ensuring sustainable energy use.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into scalable, practical solutions for industrial CO2 capture applications.
- Participate in teamwork regarding economic analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate process designs and recommend optimizations for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and scalability.
- Support pilot projects and full-scale implementations by providing technical expertise in process design and optimization.
Technical Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering, with expertise in gas processing, separation technologies, or similar fields.
- Process simulation tools, such as Aspen Hysys, Aspen Plus, or COMSOL for process modelling and optimization.
- Modelling, mass balance, and energy balance, with the ability to apply these concepts to optimize CO2capture technology.
- Gas handling, separation, and purification processes, with the ability to adapt this knowledge to CO2capture technology.
Personal qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and process optimization.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
